Silicone grease actually trapped enough enough brake dust and road grime to seize the pad and piston. Have used Vasoline as slider grease on all my other bikes without any problems. The front brakes never have worked right on my bike, and Suzuki refused to replace the assembly under warranty (bike was purchased new in 98), regardless of how many tries the dealer made to get it fixed.
